Hunaras ("we," "us," or "our") operates the recruitment platform at hunaras.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform as a candidate or employer.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you register, we collect your name, email address, password (stored hashed), and role (candidate or employer). Employers also provide a company name.
1.2 Candidate Data
- Profile information: Skills, location, work experience, and education you provide.
- Uploaded documents: Resumes and CVs you upload for AI-powered profile extraction.
- Interview recordings: Video and audio recordings of AI-conducted interviews, including transcriptions generated via speech-to-text processing.
- Assessment results: AI-generated scores and evaluations across dimensions such as technical ability, communication, problem-solving, and culture fit.
1.3 Employer Data
- Job postings: Titles, descriptions, requirements, skills, salary ranges, and other job details.
- Payment information: Subscription and billing data processed through Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers directly.
- Google account tokens: If you connect Google Calendar for scheduling, we store OAuth access and refresh tokens to create calendar events on your behalf.
1.4 Automatically Collected Data
- Usage analytics: We use Umami (a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics tool) to collect anonymous page views and events. No personally identifiable information is captured by analytics.
- Device and browser information: Basic technical data necessary for delivering the service (e.g., screen size for responsive layout).
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the service: Matching candidates with jobs, conducting AI interviews, generating assessments, and facilitating employer-candidate communication.
- AI processing: Your interview responses and profile data are processed by OpenAI's language models to generate interview questions, transcriptions, and assessment reports. We use the minimum data necessary for each AI task.
- Notifications: Sending in-app and email notifications about application status changes, interview invitations, and meeting scheduling.
- Platform improvement: Anonymous, aggregated usage data helps us understand feature adoption and improve the platform.
- Billing: Processing employer subscription payments through Stripe.
3. How We Share Your Information
- With employers (candidates): When you apply for a job, employers can see your name, assessment scores, interview recordings, and AI-generated reports. On the Free plan, employers have limited candidate reveals.
- With candidates (employers): Candidates see your company name, job details, and scheduling information.
- Service providers: We use OpenAI for AI processing, Stripe for payments, and SMTP providers for transactional emails. Each provider receives only the data necessary for their function.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
- Interview recordings and assessments: Retained for the duration of the associated job application lifecycle, plus 12 months for dispute resolution.
- Analytics data: Anonymous and aggregated; not tied to individual accounts.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), hashed passwords, role-based access controls, and secure API authentication via JWT tokens. Interview recordings are stored securely and accessible only to authorized parties.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to certain processing activities.
- Withdraw consent for optional features like Google Calendar integration.

7. Cookies
Hunaras uses only essential cookies required for authentication (session tokens). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics tool (Umami) is cookie-free and does not track users across sites.
8. AI-Specific Disclosures
- Interview questions are generated by AI based on job requirements. Candidates interact with an AI interviewer, not a human.
- Assessment scores are AI-generated and should be used by employers as one input among many in hiring decisions, not as the sole determining factor.
- We do not use your data to train AI models. Data sent to OpenAI is processed under their API data usage policy, which does not use API inputs for model training.
9. Children's Privacy
Hunaras is not directed at individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for removal.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
